The crazy gear kingdom swept by strange winds! Those years, that invisible “rubber band” inside my body almost strangled me to death.
Hello, dear friends! Welcome to our podcast.
In the first two episodes, we followed the defense captain of “Animal Kingdom”—a kitten named L wearing a lion head mask—through the crises of strange flowers growing on the soles of his feet and turning into a “rusty armored man” when he sneezed, and we also learned the principle that “you are the only doctor for your own body”.
However, ever since L regained control of its body, learned to stretch, and listened to its body, its adventurous spirit couldn’t be contained again. It decided to leave “Animal Kingdom” (which is our own physical kingdom), cross the border, and travel to other magical lands.
This time, L arrived in a technologically advanced and well-ordered kingdom, yet it exuded a strange and tense atmosphere—”Crazy Gear Kingdom”.
Explorer Cat L’s New Discovery: Gear Soldiers Blown Down by a “Strange Wind” on a Windless Day
“Crazy Gear Kingdom” is a place that pursues efficiency to an extreme. All the citizens here are precision gears of all sizes, constantly “clicking and clacking” at high speed, striving for perfection.
When L first arrived, it found it very novel. But gradually, it discovered something strange: the kingdom was sunny and calm, but many gear soldiers would suddenly tremble violently when they were on guard duty or in operation. Then, with a “snap,” the springs inside their bodies would break, and they would collapse to the ground, their parts scattered everywhere.
What’s even stranger is that these fallen cog soldiers had no external injuries and had not been attacked by any enemies.
L couldn’t help but pull aside a gear officer who was frantically applying lubricant to his gears and ask curiously, “Sir, your soldiers all look very strong, so why do they suddenly break down for no reason?”
The officer, glancing anxiously at his watch, replied in a flustered tone, “Shh! Keep your voice down! They didn’t break for no reason; they were blown down by an ‘invisible, strange wind’! That wind is called the ‘Perfection Must Wind’ and the ‘Cannot Fall Behind Wind.’ Each of us has an invisible control elastic band strapped to our bodies. When this wind blows, the elastic band gets tighter and tighter… until ‘pop’—” The officer shuddered, “and then they’re completely useless.”
L asked in confusion: “Then why didn’t you loosen the elastic band a bit? Or move to a windless place?”
The officer looked at L like he was an alien, shaking his head. “Relax? In Gear Country, relaxing is equivalent to rusting! We can only beg the ‘angels’ for ‘windproof medicine,’ or forcibly weld the broken spring back on, and then keep turning. There’s no time to stop!”
Watching the officer’s anxious face as the machine frantically accelerated, L fell into deep thought. It turns out that what destroys a kingdom isn’t necessarily an external virus or a strange, physical flower, but rather an invisible force that can strangle people from within.
That “invisible rubber band” that almost strangled someone to death
Dear friend, after hearing about L’s experience in the Gear Kingdom, did you also feel a tightness in your chest, or even subconsciously shrug your shoulders?
Do you think this is another true story of mine? The gear soldier in “Crazy Gear Kingdom” who was almost driven to collapse by invisible rubber bands is not me, but a true reflection of my wife.
In the past, my wife was a typical “perfectionist cog in the machine” in both her work and life. She felt that she had to shoulder all the responsibilities, do her best at work, and fill her time to the brim. Whenever faced with unexpected situations or enormous pressure, she would appear calm and functioning normally on the surface, but in reality, the elastic band inside her called “stress” had been stretched to its limit.
During that time, my wife started experiencing all sorts of strange health problems:
- Even though she’s exhausted, her mind keeps racing like it’s having a party, and she’s suffering from severe insomnia.
- Her stomach and intestines started to protest for no reason, either with bloating or acid reflux.
- Her shoulders and neck are as stiff as two rocks, and no amount of massage can relax them.
At that time, she was like a soldier in the Gear Kingdom, thinking it was just a “physiological problem.” She went to see a doctor, took stomach medicine, took sleeping pills, and went for massages. But what was the result? Once the effects of the medication wore off, as soon as she returned to the high-pressure work environment, all the symptoms immediately came back in a more severe way.
Until one day, my wife was sitting at her desk, looking at her anxious, tense, and lifeless face in the mirror, and she suddenly remembered the “moisturizing cream” that I had mentioned to her years ago that had woken me up.
She finally discovered: Isn’t what she’s doing now just like me blindly applying ointments back then? She thought her stomach, her sleep, and her shoulders were sick. But actually, it’s not her organs that were sick, but her “mindset”! It’s her anxiety and stress that were launching a “silent bombardment” on her body.
How does mental stress “poison” you physiologically?
We must reclaim our dominance over the kingdom of our bodies. This time, we must examine, from both scientific and physiological perspectives, how stress specifically destroys us:
When your brain senses “stress” (whether it’s a work deadline, interpersonal relationships, or anxiety about the future), your body immediately sounds the alarm, releasing large amounts of stress hormones (such as cortisol and adrenaline).
This mechanism was used in ancient times to help us “escape from a lion.” In “fight or flight” mode, the body sends all its blood and energy to the limbs (in preparation for escape), while temporarily less important systems—such as…Digestive system, immune system, self-healing system—It will be temporarily shut down or its operation reduced.
Here’s the problem: In ancient times, a lion’s chase was over in a flash; but for modern people, the “lions” (work, debt, perfectionism) are online 24/7!
When you are under chronic stress every day, your digestive system doesn’t get enough blood (so you have stomach pain and bloating); your immune system is suppressed every day (so you are prone to colds and skin inflammation); your muscles are tense every day (so you have neck and shoulder pain, or even, like me, you are prone to straining your back).
Stress is the biggest source of toxins in the body’s internal environment. If you don’t have the right mindset, no matter how many supplements you take or how many treatments you undergo, you’re just adding water to a leaky bucket.
The first step to self-rescue: Cut the “perfect” elastic band inside your body.
Having seen through this, my wife finally decided to launch a “spiritual revolution” in her physical kingdom.
Instead of researching which stomach medicine was most effective, she began to study how to “actively relax.” She developed several inexpensive yet incredibly powerful “mental self-help habits”:
- Learn to “pause” and breathe: Give yourself a few “3-minute pauses” each day. Don’t look at your phone, don’t think about work, just take a few deep breaths. This sends a signal to your body’s alarm system: “Alarm deactivated, you are now safe. You can start the system repair now.”
- Imperfections are permissible: Stop forcing yourself to be a perfect superman. Learn to say “no” to things that aren’t important, and give yourself space.
- Be aware of your own emotions: When your shoulders start to tense up again, stop complaining about them. Instead, close your eyes and ask yourself, “What am I anxious about right now? Is this really worth sacrificing my health for?”
When my wife started to adjust her mindset and actively relaxed the overly tight rubber band in her body, a miracle happened again—her stomach pain, insomnia, and neck and shoulder pain gradually healed without relying on any medication.
You are the captain of your own inner kingdom.
Dear friend, at this very moment, are you also carrying some invisible burden, your life running frantically and clunking along its track?
Please remember that your body is the most honest mirror; all the discomfort it experiences now is actually a cry for help from your “soul.” “Master, I’m so tired, please let me go!”
A doctor can prescribe medication to cure your stomach ulcer, but a doctor can’t cut off the source of your anxiety. Only when you change your perspective on the world and learn to reconcile with stress can your body truly find relief.
I appreciate that you accompanied Adventure Cat L on this journey to the Gear Kingdom. This shows that you have begun to realize that health is not just a matter of the body, but also a spiritual practice.
